Hi there, thanks for stopping by to check out our work. Who is DaBo? Well that’s me, Dave. I became interested in photography in High school back in 1975. What sparked my interest wasn’t taking pictures, but my buddies bragging that the girls liked going into the dark room at school and making out. Well I scored a big fat zero on that deal, but I became fascinated that I was able to capture a split second of history and would be able to relive it over and over again. I still remember the day my father took me to the local Goodwill Store and bought my first 35mm camera.
It was a 1935 Argus and he paid $5 for it.
Over the years I have had the privilege of using my work as my hobby, entering dozens of international photography competitions every year which gives me the opportunity to corroborate with fine photographers from around the world. I am a firm believer in that you should never stop learning and take that to heart every time I push the shutter button.
I am not a big fan of studio photography or manipulating a picture with photography software. They do however, become necessary evils when a project involves time, money, or a client’s needs. My approach to wedding, portrait, fashion, etc.… photography combines a mixture of fine art and documentary styles. This means at times I will compose and direct to create the best possible image, without missing the in-between moments that are full of life.
I also enjoy helping those who are commonly referred to as a starving artist. This can be a painter, musician, actor, etc.
Together let’s create those images of your special moments that will last a lifetime.
